If your hands are itching for needle and thread and space at home to create is limited, our lampshade making courses are ideal.

Our traditional lampshade making course is run over two days, during which you will learn how to make a balloon lined bowed empire shade using hand stitching techniques.  Students are taught how to fit the fabric on the straight grain, allowing you to use any pattern you choose. 

The advanced course will equip you with all the skills to tackle pleated and gathered shades.

Comprehensive notes and full instructions on how to tackle other types of frames are also covered so you can confidently tackle many other shapes.  Lunch at a local cafe and refreshments throughout the day are included in the fee.
